Magnesia Carbon Brick is carbon-bonded basic refractory brick made of high purity dead burned magnesia and graphite, widely used in steelmaking industry.
Key Features:
- Excellent resistance to alkaline slag erosion and penetration.
- Outstanding thermal shock resistance, less cracking under rapid temperature fluctuation.
- High hot modulus of rupture, stable high-temperature strength.
- Low wetting by molten steel and slag, easy slag stripping.
- Good wear resistance for severe working condition of steel furnace.
Available Grades:
MC10 (C:10%), MC12 (C:12%), MC14 (C:14%), MC16 (C:16%)
Main Applications:
- Converter lining, electric arc furnace lining, steel ladle slag line zone.
- Refining furnace and tundish for steel making.
- High temperature zones where molten steel and alkaline slag contact directly.
